BOOOO  They need to let them rev to at least the current 18k... But I'd much rather see them go to 22 - 24k :)

Rule is broad enough to catch using the KERS harvest to compensate for excessive torque demand by the driver. Too easy to catch IMO, so I don't think this is what they are using. Plus, it doesn't explain the exhaust note discrepancy.

Changing engine load would explain the exhaust note change, especially as the engine spins freely (wheelspin) then gets massively bogged down by the parasitic drag of the KERS system. Repeat until traction found.

Similar to how you hear the engine note change as the revs slow when they go up Eau Rouge at Spa.

Jackie Stewart is legendary

Some quotes from this Jalopnik Questionaire...

Jackie Stewart:

One was the Armco barrier, second medical aid, because the chief medical officer at Brands Hatch was a gynecologist. I'm sure he was a good doctor and good at gynecology, but it wasn't the work that would be good in a racing accident.

A lot of F1 drivers were already amateur gynecologists. lol

Why not Grosjean/Hulkenburg? Seems like a solid pairing, and Lotus have shown that there is life after Fernando.

Also, those talks will Williams must have been awkward for Nicholas Todt, who manages both Massa and Maldonado.

The "Inifinity Racing" 35% purchase of lotus has taken so long, I can't imagine it'll actually happen. Boullier needs cash and a big ass PDVSA decal will do that.

Hi guys, I'm back from the dead

We'll get used to it just like we got to ridiculously high and narrow rear wings which all seem normal by now.

I still hate the current front and rear wings....

WB!

It was going to look better because they were going to drop the nose (like pre-2008)...but poorly written technical definitions may have the nose looking even uglier

Looks like a giant middle finger to us all, literally.

Also, Hulk turns down Lotus  He'd rather stay with Sauber the last 2 races and get paid than go to Lotus and do some charity clean up.

I highly doubt that was his choice. He was contractually allowed to race for Lotus because he wasn't getting paid his salary which is a breech of contract. Of course he continues racing anyways because it's an F1 car and he gains experience. F1 news comes by, Lotus loses Kimi for the last 2 races because he contractually doesn't have to race now b/c he hasn't been paid...Ferrari then ships Sauber the money to pay Hulkenberg because he's the biggest threat to their constructor's champion, which then then contractually prevents Hulkenberg from racing with Lotus.
