Vettel slices through from pit lane for a podium.
Anyone else in Austin for the GP? We're about to head downtown and check out Will Buxton's event.

Marcus Erricson, Alexander Rossi, Luca Fillipi, and Mario Andretti all made appearances.
The Road to Mercedes was a fun little film. If you saw Road to Ferrari you know what to expect.
Bout to head to the track for practice today.

We set up at turn 19 today. It was decent. Might go there again tomorrow, but will definitely want to check and see if the esses offer any better action. Might try turn 1 as well, although it fills up quick from what we saw.

That's what I wrote on FB yesterday...But with a good night's sleep, I can say that they were pretty boring to listen to overall.

The Ferrari engined cars especially had a very odd sound coming back on power through turn 19. Almost like a dubstep bass-drop.

Maybe it's because I'm now old, or have heard the old cars numerous times over, but I didn't mind the new sound.
I liked the difference in engines, as well as the ability to hear the cars doing things like riding the curbs, and the Ferrari's bottoming out as they cut Turn 9's apex.
Then again, my first race was the traction controlled V10s, which were totally nuts...
