Even when I was quite young and living in China, I was aware of Formula 1.

I must say it was the death of Ayrton Senna which really grabbed my attention in a big way.

Pretty soon I was watching races whenever I saw them on TV, from about 1995, followed Schumacher's battles first with Hill, then Villeneuve, then Hakkinen, then DC, Ralf, JPM...

I remember jumping up and down shouting "No! No! No!" When Hakkinen made THE pass on Schumacher/Zonta into Les Combes in 2000.

From about 2003, I bought a wheel, and got really into F1 2002 on the PC. A setups "pack" I made back then became quite popular, and people were still contacting me about them until about 2-3 years ago asking for setup advice.

Sim driving on F1C then rFactor was how I got to know More&Faster, Tom (F1), Ximian, who are all on this board.

I watched that video last night :dunno:

One of the best races for me was Suzuka 07(??) that had me up and down when Kimi hunted down Fisi into turn 1 on the last lap to take the lead. From last place! A brillant drive and he just looked so damn calm, cool, collected...

yeah that was epic

Fisi came out of his pitstop just behind Kimi, but then Kimi was so much faster that he pulled out enough of a lead to come out just behind Fisi after his stop.

Best race of all time, for me, probably goes to Spa '98 - largest ever pileup on first start, small pile up on 2nd start that takes out Hakkinen, Schumacher leads but then hits DC while trying to lap him, gets back to pits on 3 wheels and tries to fight DC, Hill leads Ralf home for Jordan's first win and 1-2

Half had that race in the bag and had to give it to Hill, team orders at their best and no-one cared because he was a Brit.

of all the races I watched over the years, that has to be the most memorable one of them all.

given the conditions and the fact that Hill was determined to protect his lead, it was an understandable decision

How much did you try uploading? You said it was 1.5gb so I set the folder size to 2gb, but it looks like you uploaded something else as well and it may have went over the limit.

was always into cars and was curious about F1 ever since i was about 16 i suppose. what got me into it though was a thread on OT trying to organize a racing league for an F1 game. since i had an old wheel laying around i decided to try it and ended up having a lot of fun, and from there i couldn't avoid becoming an F1 fan. :run: that was the winter before the 2005 season i think and ever since then i haven't missed a single race.
