I think you have to gamble that you can kick the shit out of your teammate consistently. So if you're a rookie, do you step into a car like the HRT and Virgin cars, or do you wait it out and find a better ride?
I think these cars will kill their careers from the get-go...hell, look at Sutil
I'm not sure Sutil's performance has justified a better ride. He hasn't been able to beat Fisicho or Liuzzi consistently.
Bruno I think has a shot, although that may be just because karthikeyan is so bad.

I can't find a good pic of this...Lotus seems to be running the mini rear wing on top of their rear wing that was first brought back by BMW and then Force India..... only reasonable that Gascoyne brings it to the Lotus that lacks downforce just like his previous car.

I can't find a good pic of this...
There is also a slot in the lower plane. They are desperately looking for downforce.

I'm surprised that mini-wing is legal...how's it work?
It's funny seeing Webbah checking out the McLaren like - I'd love to see LH & Button tell him "Mind your own bidness mate!"

Basically it is like how there used to be unlimited # of wing elements allowed on the rear wing and teams would stack the airfoils in the ear wing. Since the ruling now is 2 or 3 elements in the rear wing (I can't remember the exact number right now off the top of my head, pretty sure its 2 now) they are using a loophole where within some lateral offset from the centerline they add the additional wing elements that would have otherwise been free design space for a shark fin engine cover.
I'm surprised that mini-wing is legal...how's it work?
Old pic of stacked wing elements for high downforce configuration, note the 3 visible wing elements, probably 1 more not seen:

kookookachoo1357, post moved to the other subforum thread.. We don't want random unregistered people coming here flooding that link resulting in it being shut down from too many users.

Reason why their brake ducts are so huge is because they are using steel brakes. Yes, same steel that their wishbones and a good chunk of other bits on their car that usually CF are used for.

I'm guessing they are 620kg without ballast... At least there's plenty of room for improvement so they can say they improved by 7-10seconds by the season finale..HRT are destined to be the backmarkers unless another car breaks down before theirs:

Fucking Hamilton.
Schumi losing out to Nico..........................................................................
Interesting session for sure, loved seeing how hard the chassis' are working. In the past few years the cars have almost looked too stable.

so yeah, interesting session. Schumi slower than Nico, i wonder how long he will stand for that. And i have a feeling we are going to see fireworks between Massa and Fernando. We know that the one thing that razz's him most is getting beat my his teammate, and i think Massa is absolutely for real. Not only soundly beating Kimi, but looking ready to take the fight to Alonso. They may be the ones to beat, i think the Redbull is where i expected, fast overall, but will the car hold up? I dunno man, i have my doubts!
Nothing TOO shocking, but will be intresting to see tomorrow. I predict heavy accidents on the first corner, the redbull being fast but probably not finishing the race, and a fight between the ferraris for the top spot. McLaren and Mercedes look to have some work to do...

Moss thankful for support after incident
By Jonathan Noble Saturday, March 13th 2010, 08:57 GMT
Stirling Moss has thanked all those who have sent their best wishes to him following his recent lift accident - and said he is well on the road to recovery.
The racing legend broke both his ankles after falling down a lift shaft at his house – and is still in hospital recovering.
In a video message he sent from his hospital bed, Moss said his condition had improved and he was looking forward to returning home.
"I would like to thank everybody out there who was kind enough to write to me or email me after the shunt I had at the weekend," he told his official website.
"I am glad to say I am feeling better, I'm not feeling great, but I am feeling better and hopefully [up] within a week or so.
"Then I will have to take it easy, which is a bit of a bore, but still... I will be bouncing back as soon as I possibly can."
i wanna be THIS old man one day
