What was the verdict from Coulthard or Davidson from the BBC coverage?

i don't know about during race coverage, but i did mention post coverage (see my posts above about the super slow mo) that everyone (except E. Jordan) thought lewis was in the wrong and should be penalized.

I still don't see how moving over and turning a 1-lane road into a 2-lane road is justified. It is the responsibility of the person merging into the fast lane to make sure he does so in a safe manner. This is true for the pitlane as it is for any public road. Anyway I'd be interested in hearing what the rest of the F1 grid and professional drivers think of this incident. What was the verdict from Coulthard or Davidson from the BBC coverage?

You're telling me that two cars couldn't fit on pit lane, outside of the crew area?

Just because two cars can fit in the pitlane it does not make it acceptable to treat it as such. This is why the FIA need to come in and clarify the ruling immediately. Is a pit lane a one-lane road or is it part of the race track where the same rules apply except speed limit?

if we're speaking technically... Lewis doesn't have ANY wheels in the "fast lane" at all, he went down all of pit row in the mechanic area... and as the photo shows, Vettel is in the lead...

That picture is after Vettel moved over on him, causing the situation to be even more unsafe....

notice how Lewis gets the car sideways just before the Williams garage while the mechanics are out and never slows down once even though vettel is clearly ahead and only gets on the actual "fast lane" one out of the pits...

and yes, i realize vettel moved over...

and i'm done, we're going to go back and forth... i'm not exactly sure what you're defending at this point...

I'm saying that if it's a safety issue, then both drivers should be punished.

I think everyone else is saying that - if it were a safety issue then Hamilton should have backed off eons ago

I'm with Nacho on this one. They are both in the wrong. Seb did not need to make that move on Hambone, he was clearly in the right and had the advantage until he pushed hambone (more) into the crew area, at which point he was just as guilty.
