Wow, David Hobbs is on f1c now?!?!?!?!And that is how you have a dominating win in what might be the third best car in the field.

Actually a pretty good race and lots of position changes for the lead. I think the teams may have overstated the performance deficit of the prime though, they were still faster than worn softs.
Though I think everyone hoping for rain may have exacerbated the problem.

Button yet again demonstrates why he is my favorite. When any other driver at the sharp end of the grid would have threw a fit because they had to retire what is Jenson's reaction?

After their coming together in Montreal, Lewis hung out in the pits and cheered Jens on.

However, the best Nordschleife story of the weekend came from Kamui Kobayashi, who always makes the trek out onto the track whenever he is racing there.
This time, however, for a special treat for his girlfriend Yu he wanted to give her a high-speed lap of the Nordschleife – and it was going to be the first time she had ever been a passenger alongside him out on a race circuit. Kamui duly paid for four laps – but it didn't go quite to plan.
"We got out on to the track and after one corner she started crying," said Kobayashi. "I had to slow down and finish the lap very slow – about 60km/h. Very safe – but it was a very long lap. It took me nearly 20 minutes.
"I think I will have to sell my tickets at a discount price now. I paid 89 Euros for four laps – and only went around once!"

I've seen a video where Jenson drives a Civic Type R around in the wet and although the video claimed he only drove a few laps it certainly looked like he knew his way around.I'm surprised at how many pro drivers have NOT driven the Nurburgring before...everytime I see on e of these videos, they're always like "my first time out here..." i mean really?

Very possible he did it in a simulator or computer game and then drove it. Combination of that and being a F1 driver probably makes it look like hes pretty good after only a few laps.I've seen a video where Jenson drives a Civic Type R around in the wet and although the video claimed he only drove a few laps it certainly looked like he knew his way around.

Actually, it makes sense. There's little reason that they'd drive the Nurburgring unless it's for a promotional deal like this vid, or for the 24 hour race there.

Not as a profession, but as someone who likes cars and racing in general I would think they'd venture out there either in their youth or somewhere along the way.

These guys have been racing professionally for the most part of their lives. Assuming they only get a few weeks off during the summer and then the winter off-season, if they don't come during their summer vacation then they don't really have any other chance to drive the nordscheife. I'd bet these guys just want to spend a week away at a beach or something chill for their summer downtime after having to live, eat and breathe racing for the remaining part of the year.
