Well the regular GT-R is rated at 480hp, which Dynos have already shown it to be underrated, so the consensus is that the actual HP rating is around 520-530. So add the 70hp of the V-spec, subtract 330 pounds, add better aerodynamics and better brakes and whatever else and the result should be a white substance in your pants.I'm gonna be the first and say BS

The new GT-R is really growing on me. Then again, how can it not... considering its staggering performance.

330 pounds weight saving from a car? I dont think Ive heard of a roadcar shedding so much weight. a Porsche 997 Cup car is only about 350 pounds lighter than a road GT3 and its a stripped out race car with all carbon panels. 330 pounds is wishful thinking. But I can understand the car having 600bhp reliably but that still brings it back to Carrera GT (below Zonda F)bhp and its still 200-300kg more

Big respect for the car's raw pace though.

The Zonda and CGT both have manual trannies and RWD, the GT-R has a gang of virgin asian tech geniuses behind it,. 3 seconds faster over a 7.25 minute lap isn't all that much. As far as the 330 pounds, the regular GT-R is nearly 4000lbs, so it's not that far fetched. The CGT is only 3045 lbs. It's all very nutty.330 pounds weight saving from a car? the stock trim GT-R is a boat.. i'm honestly not that surprised they could reduce the weight by 300lbs at the expense of comfort and expensive materials.

Like a Corvette, even though it's fast (and cheap), it doesn't really do anything for me.
this is true... although they are technical wonders, i really want a car like an S2k or an elise. something i can feel while im driving. ya know?? when i tell most "car guys" my favorite car is the S2k, they look at me like and then usually say something about no torque, only 240 hp, or its not good for drifting. and then i know not to talk to them about cars anymore
