PS: I got out-quali'd because it seems to go alphabetical in a tie. 4 teams on my local league tied for pole.

Well considering that last year after the first race my team was worth about 10mil less than what you start with I'm not doing so bad.

After race 7 following new rule will be executed:

Extraordinary adjustment of component costs:

The outstanding performance of the Brawn GP team in the F1 season 2009 has lead to a huge false estimation of their PFF1 component costs. This is the reason for this rule adaptation.

This rule is only valid for the components Driver 1 and 2, Chassis and Engine (the components Manager, Driver 3 and Tyres aren't affected by this regulation).

Pure Fantasy F1 can do an extraordinary adjustment of component costs during the season. The first adjustment is possible after race 3, if required. An advance notice will be posted in the PFF1 forum.

The component cost are changed without a modification of the total team budget values. Only the cash balance of the teams will be adjusted. This can lead to a negative cash balance.
The team owners have to change their teams to get a cash balance >=0. Teams with a negative cash balance take part in game furthermore, but receive a 75 points penalty per race (race score - 75 points as long as the result remains >=0).


These component costs will be adjusted after race 7 as follows:

Current costs:
Jenson Button: 25 Mio.
Rubens Barrichello: 19 Mio.
Brawn Chassis: 19 Mio.
Brawn (Mercedes) Motor: 19 Mio.

Costs after race 7:
Jenson Button: 45 Mio. (+20 Mio.)
Rubens Barrichello: 39 Mio. (+20 Mio.)
Brawn Chassis: 39 Mio. (+20 Mio.)
Brawn (Mercedes) Motor: 39 Mio. (+20 Mio.)

Example Team (current):
Team manager Ross Brawn: 12 Mio.
Driver 1 Rubens Barrichello: 19 Mio
Driver 2 Jenson Button: 25 Mio.
Driver 3 Pedro de la Rosa: 1 Mio.
Chassis Brawn: 19 Mio.

Team value: 100 Mio.
Cash balance: 42 Mio.
