I like JB and Massa's. Prefer the look of the Bell to the Arai.

Replace the Silver with Black and I would totally wear Liuzzi's... If I wanted it to match the s2k replace the green with Spa...

keep the lense flare though

I love Quick Nick's design; very simple and clean.

:werd:

Quick Nicks winsRubens may as well wear a see-through helmet, it would be less ugly

and :roflw:

Just following the money. I don't reckon this dude could even get a DTM seat and they've got some shockers in that championship

From Racecar-Engineering:

Renault blown floor uses 10% more fuel
Posted Image
Renault Sport F1 has revealed that during the Australian Grand Prix Red Bull and Renault used 10% more fuel than normal. The blown floors prevalent in the field this year mean that engine and exhaust management is even more crucial than in previous seasons. To power a blown floor effectively and generate additional downforce, an engine must produce significant amounts of exhaust gas. Simply put, the more fuel burned, the more exhaust is produced and potentially more downforce. "Since the RS27's fuel consumption rate is extremely good, the Renault-equipped teams were able to burn 10% more fuel than normal during the Australian Grand Prix without running out of fuel, therefore giving more exhaust flow to its partners using the blown diffuser" a Renault release revealed.

The Ferrari 056 is thought to have the highest fuel consumption in Formula 1.

From F1 Fanatic:

Trulli denies criticising Pirelli
Posted ImageJarno Trulli, Lotus, Barcelona, 2011

Jarno Trulli denied criticising Pirelli in a column for Italian newspaper La Repubblica two weeks ago.

Speaking in today's FIA press conferencethe Lotus driver blamed a "completely wrong translation" for stories claiming he complained about the change in tyre characteristics between the final test and first race of 2011.

Trulli said: "I actually said that Pirelli did a very good job for Australia.

"We didn't expect to have problem with the tyre warming up, but actually we didn't have degradation. I think one driver did a one-stop strategy, which, during the winter testing, was completely out of mind.

"For the Australian Grand Prix the tyres behaved completely different and extremely well for the experience we had during the winter testing.

"The only thing that I pointed out is that some people struggled for tyre warm-up, which was the case for several drivers. This showed that we still have a lot to learn, from a drivers and teams point of view, of the Pirelli tyres but as well Pirelli is trying to adjust themselves and trying to give us the best possible option."

Out of curiosity I looked up what 'Perky Jerky' was. Think jerky meets energy drink :bowrofl:

Why in the world an energy-supplement product would ever want to have mmmbles as a spokesperson is beyond me.

Christian Horner defends the legality of Red Bull's car
Posted Image
The Red Bulls of Mark Webber (pictured) and Sebastian Vettel appear dominant

Christian Horner has defended the absolute legality of the Red Bull cars with which his team has made such an impressive start to the season.

The 2010 constructors' champions were accused of potential rule breaking last season over their front wing, a component that was rigorously investigated - and approved.

And, asked on Thursday if he was frustrated that fresh questioning had surfaced after world champion Sebastian Vettel's cruise to victory in Australia, Horner was unfazed.
"We take it is a compliment to be honest with you," he said.
Vettel's vast superiority over the rest of the field at Melbourne's Albert Park was underlined by his performance in qualifying, when the German finished 0.8 seconds clear of McLaren's Lewis Hamilton.

It is understood Red Bull's front wing flexes and runs lower to the ground under braking, which affords the car greater stability and speed when cornering.
Potentially, this could be worth more than half a second per lap.

Motor sport's world governing body, the FIA, stiffened its regulations last season over front wings, but the Red Bull cars passed all the FIA tests - and have continued to do so this season.
Questioned on the issue once again ahead of Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix, Horner responded with a somewhat frustrated explanation.

"Shall I explain in very basic words how it works?" he asked.

"McLaren have developed a car that has a very low rear-ride height, and therefore a low front wing for them doesn't work.
"We run quite a high rake angle in our car. So inevitably when the rear of the car is higher, the front of the car is going to be lower to the ground.
"It is obvious science, and therefore our wing complies fully with the regulations. It will look lower to the ground because the rake in the car is higher, but it is simple mathematics."

"I think our front wing has been tested more than any other in the pit lane, and it complies with the regulations, which is what we have to do. We don't have to pass a McLaren test, we have to pass an FIA one, and it complies fully with that.

Ride height doesn't explain the angle differences.

Who doesn't? V10s, 18,000RPMS, different sounds to each engine?

I have a feeling it's like that with every generation. Every generation will think the previous generation was the tits while the current one will suck. At least for motorsports anyways since they have to be green now. I mean, think of the old days, 1.5L / 3.0L unlimited config. Then it was Turbos. Then it was unlimited 3.0L Config. Then it went to V10s. Then V8s. And now we're going to boosted 4cyl. :eek4:

FIA may ban DRS in Monaco completely, this will give a good indication of whether the good racing this year is down to DRS or to tire degradation.

http://www.autosport...rt.php/id/90914

Of course being Monaco, very little passing will occur anyways.

oddly enough, I was thinking the same thing a couple days ago... I mean you have the start/finish straight, but very little passing happens there anyways... maybe a dive into turn one? the other place I was thinking was the tunnel to setup a pass into the chicane, but still, I'm not sure if either are long enough to really give you that passing opportunity vs just getting closer to the car...

Rumored take over from Rupert Murdoch's News Corp :noes:

Doubt it would change much however...unless they kick Bernie out

Seriously though, if BE is gone, who takes over? Whoever runs MotoGP (Dorna?), needs to run F1 too...

Yah what is the deal with the Chinese Race Edit, but nothing for Malaysia? I was watching it thinking to myself, "did Jaime really lose the right rear in two consecutive races?" lol

FU Murdoch

Sucks if Turkey goes, always wanted to visit for a GP weekend. :hs:
