I learned and currently ride on my brother's R6. I hardly ever go full throttle and if I do, I'm always a gear down. As long as you have a lot of respect for the bike and know your limits, you can ride any bike.

A gear down or up?

And :werd:

:werd:

I tried going full-throttle from a crawl in 1st on a liter bike one time, and his bike squeezed baby jesus tears out of my eyes while pullin a 1" wheelie :eek5:
Shit was insane...how people say you can get used to that kinds of speeds is insane. Especially on the street... :o Either they are lying, they're dumb as hell, or it was Rossi possessing their soul.

Unfortunately it is all too easy to get used to that kind of power :eek5:

Anytime I get in a customers car now and it's not at least 800 whp it feels slow to me :o

It makes me feel bad when I've just tuned a guys car that made 500whp and I take them on a test drive (I refuse to ride with any of them, so if they want me to go I drive) and they ask me honestly how it feels and I have to explain to them how it feels slow to me, but don't take it the wrong way because I've been in a gazillion 500 whp cars and even though they are still quite fun, they aren't breathtaking anymore :o

Yawp. You're def. not an S2k guy :werd:

I wonder if you're one of those guys that would jump into an F1 car and say "Sigh...it's good. I guess. I mean, it's not bad...could be a tad faster :hs: " :eek5:

LUCKY!

and ya you really have to plan ahead if you want to go full throttle even on a 600cc.
My R6 will hit 120 in a blink of an eye :h5:
I have NO idea why 1litre bikes are even street legal... hell 600cc!

:squint:

Straight line performance wise it's possible, I think they run mid 8's in the 1/4 (unofficially) which I've been. But when it comes to the brakes and curves I'm sure I would cream all over myself...

600cc bikes are more bike than 99% of the guys that have litre bikes need...

i think it's the slowest car i've ever owned in all reality...but it's all the most fuel efficient :)
which is why i bought it in the first place... it's not like i need balls and power when i commute to work, plus i drive an average of 22k a year... and with gas prices lately.....

I wasn't picking on your choice of car. The gas prices being what they are these days, your choice of daily driver is smart.

I wish I had something fuel efficient to drive when it's too cold for the bike. :mamoru:

no worries, i rag on my car all the time  but i'm glad i sold the vr6 when i did and swapped to the corolla cause gas prices have been shooting up like mad...
also, i'm planning on picking up a bike next month... combined between the bike and the car, i should have an average of 40-50 mpg between the 2 vehicle :greddy:

Hmmm IF I got a Ninja 250 which gets 78MPG and average it with my Lightning and my Camaro I'd get 36mpg... If I get my Best Friends Ninja ZX6R I'd get 27...

ninja's get 78 mpg!?!?1 that's what i'm planning on picking up...
my corolla averages 35 mpg on my commute to work and back, on long distance trips about 39, lowest i've got in it was 32 right when i first got it, had to adapt my driving stile from the gti to the corolla...
if ninja' really do get 78 (I'll say 70), that'll bring my average to 50ish mpg :greddy:
