That was a hell of a finish, but I'm sure Paul Hembry is shitting cinder blocks right now.

That was a weird ass race. 4 tires popping and two safety cars then a mad dash to the finish. I'm surprised no one pulled out of the race for safety reasons ala Indy 2006.

Good race though, webber had a horrible start but he really pushed at the end.

Oh and the race on cnbc really messed my recording. I though it was weird that my DVR was set for 8:30am instead of 4:30, so I started flipping though the channels and almost spoiled the ending as I found it was showing live still.

On my DVR it came up as the British Athletics Grand Prix, with category "Track & Field". I mean yes, Silverstone is a track, and it is located in a field, but :wtf:

What a crazy ass race...Great last 10 laps but the first part of that race was exciting for all the wrong reasons. Can't blame Pirelli for all of it though; what did the teams expect when your tire maker is testing a car that's 3 years old?

that can't be the ONLY curb on the whole track that looks like that which they were running over...
Once the second tire popped all I thought was that the Pirelli dude was locking himself up in a closet and hiding until the media left...

There was a memo from Pirelli for the weekend "+2psi / avoid kerbs"

Maybe teams ignored it...but I'm with you, this isn't the only kerb like this. But I stick to the point: teams need to start looking out for the sport. Otherwise they won't have a sport to compete in.
