:madfawk:

Fucking bullshit qualifying!  Hammy's 1st Q3 lap should have been DQ'd for exceeding track limits :madfawk:

Haas looks legit. P6 on debut, P5 in their 2nd race.
Manor looks racy, and Force India looks like they are struggling. Losing their airline monies impacting them?

Max is moving to Red Bull next season, replacing Kyvet?

Seb with the bad luck this race, but at last Kimi got P2.  Wish Hammy would have been taken out on that lap 1 incident...

I wouldn't bet on it. Nico seems to win in spurts, but never consistently enough over a full season to win a chip.

Rosmentum™ is real and he's pretty good at all the tracks coming up.

Hammy not gelling with the tires yet this season?

Dovi pushing the bike over the line to snag 13th place
Dani going from 7th in the last 2-3 laps, to end up on the podium because all the crashers

Also, if you get a chance, watch the Moto3 race... the Malaysian kid running slicks on the wet track was pulling 2-3 second a lap on everyone... he crushed the competition. Moto3 usually is won by 10ths and such, dude won by 25+ seconds, he probably could've won by more but his team was basically telling him to slow the fuck down... kid had balls/skill.

Don't give a shit about Rosberg...But fucking HAAS!  I'm so stoked that an American team is doing so well and Grosjean is doing an amazing job hustling that car!  Who would've figured a brand new team to be doing so damn well?

What is the hold up on changing qualifying?  What are the agendas being played out, I really don't get this...

Everyone wants to go back to 2015 style qualifying, but all the proposed changes from the FOM/FIA don't give that option. Always some sort of hybrid/knockout/2015 mashup/aggregate time style qualifying that no one wants, so there is no unanimous vote, so things keep staying the same.

So why does the FOM/FIA want a hybrid/knockout style qualification?  What's the justification?

They just want change... apparently the promotors are requesting to spice up the show...
They haven't figured out how yet which is why all these lame proposals are coming out, and they are refusing to go backwards... either they come up with a different solution, or just accept it the way it's run now.

What flavio suggested like 10yrs ago now seems to make sense if they are wanting more on track action. Switch to a GP2 format of sprint and feature race, move quali to Friday and eliminate P2 and P3.

I'd say either go back to the old quali format that worked for the past 5 years, or adopt the MotoGP option...

Top 10 fastest riders from FP1 - FP3 move on to Q2 automatically. Slowest riders go into Q1 where the top 2 advance.
You'll get these guys pushing for a fast time in the first 3 FP's, especially if weather is a factor, FP4 is reserved for final tweaks and race setup, then you have a shoot out in both Q1 and Q2...

I'm not big on splitting the race weekend... WSBK is doing that now, Quali and Race 1 are on Saturday, Race 2 is on Sunday... it's kinda meh... even doing Race 1 and 2 on the same day...meh

Not a fan of two races either, makes it seem less important.

In terms of quali they really didn't need to change anything, it was literally the best part of F1 these past two seasons.

Even single lap that we had pre 2006 would be more fun than this knockout shit.

Are these  payments for last year? Surely Haas would get paid for this year.
