Can someone explain what ferrari did to their wing and why it's being looked at? I read the article on autosport, but I don't understand it...
The FIA is looking at the size of their gurney flap. A gurney flap is just a strip of metal that sticks out into the air at the end of the tail - it produces a lot of downforce for very little drag. Looks like Ferrari found a legal-gap taht allows them to run a larger than normal gurney flap.

Hammond's show is very high-level, probably nothing on that show you didn't already know about F1.Haven't watched the hammond engineering an f1 car episode yet, but I'm guessing he probably doesn't cover gurney flaps

I thought the Gurney flap produced a lot of drag?

Gurney flaps produce TONS of drag. The real benefit of a Gurney flap is that it allows for downforce generation at angles that would otherwise be stalled. I'm not completely sure they [Ferrari] were planning on using that wing at this race, since they won't get any chance to test parts for Monaco between now and then.

What's up with McLaren changing their suit? It looks like shit this race!
I think they need to get rid of the hards completely and just give everyone more softs and and let them run flat out on softs. Qualifying not as fun as it used to be...
