they were just that much faster this season... and the weather didn't play a part in the race...
whatever audi and their overheating/blowing out the radiator issue is, didn't help the situation...
wonder whats going to happen next year... isn't peugeot pulling out?

race cars run race fuel... what do the diesels cars run?
is there such thing as race diesel or is the diesel the same stuff you find in a mack truck, and cruise liners?
I've never really looked into diesel engines, so i know shit about them... basic engines and rotaries i understand how they work... diesels... no clue.

Looks like Shell makes a special formulation for Le Mans. No idea how it stacks up to your V-Power diesel you can buy at the pump though...I do have a question though...

Shell V-Power Diesel is a high performance diesel fuel designed to help modern diesel engines deliver more power for longer. Already available at more than 7,000 service stations across Europe, Shell scientists have used the same fuel technology behind Shell V-Power Diesel to create this racing fuel for Le Mans.
As for how the diesel engine works, think of your petrol engine, minus the spark plug. The fuel and air is compressed to such a high CR that it ignites itself.
